Delete Your Account

You can delete your Hunting Public account and all data tied to it two ways — from inside the app, or without it installed. Either way, deleting your account removes your username, email, password hash, waypoints synced to your account, stored location, roadmap votes, feedback and subscription identifiers.

This is permanent and cannot be undone. Pins saved only on your device are not touched — on-device data is yours to clear separately by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.

From inside the app

  1. Open the menu and go to Supporter (or Become a supporter if you're on a free account — the account panel is the same either way).
  2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and its data are deleted immediately, and you're signed out.

This works the same in the web app and the Android app.

Without the app installed

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account" and the username if you remember it. We delete the account and its data, and confirm by email, within a few business days.

One thing deletion does not do

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Stripe subscription. Cancel it first in the app (Supporter → Manage subscription), or mention it in your deletion email and we'll cancel both. See the Terms of Use for the full billing terms.
